Antonio Moreno Ortiz, specialist in Computational Linguistics and Lexicography, invented a video game based on the classification of words according to their difficulty, which is carried out by means of a statistical analysis of their appearance in texts and conversations, as he explained to the newspaper El Pais. com.

The body of words with which this professor at the University of Malaga worked comes from the oral and, fundamentally, written language.

The game consists of 20 difficulty levels, each with 840 words. The learning process is based on scientific techniques to teach a maximum number of words in one session, because if you try to learn too many words in one day, you can’t assimilate them.

Another element that reinforces learning is repetition, since when a word fails, the game corrects the error and later it is repeated in a studied way. This video game is suitable for Nintendo DS and Wii systems.
